Country Ladies -
9/12/12All started out as a Wedding Renewal of Vows Ceremony at a Ubud villa, moving onto a full day of shopping once they arrived in Seminyak! Discerning shoppers they were, from fabrics to tailor, to a new homewares store that had only been opened 5 days to shoes, and other delights.

I’ve never been to Bali but was overwhelmed by the shops at first. So when the opportunity came up, I went on the shopping trip with my sister and my mum. We went to a brilliant fabric store first, and doing having done some sewing myself I was just blown away by the patterns, vibrant colours and stories high choice! We even bumped into designers there who helped out. Pretty soon Marilyn picked up on our taste and took us to a cute little place for lunch set in a beautiful shop. A few more purchases made! Going to the tailor was a lot of fun and so exciting telling them exactly what I wanted in the great fabrics we had just bought. We would never have found the place ourselves. It was even more exciting going back a few days later and picking it up. Marilyn met us there and helped get some alterations made. The best results were when we either had a favourite item to be copied or had a really good idea of what we wanted. The other shops she took us to would not be found at home in Australia. A wonderful day that saved us hundreds of dollars!
